The 16 April Cherhill circle has been cut by the farmer. This is the first example we can think of in crop circle history of an oilseed rape circle being cut out. Why has he farmer done this? Likely because he asked for people to stay out of the field and despite this the circle had many visitors. Please, people, try to respect farmers’ wishes. Enjoy the circle from afar (fine views of the Cherhill circle in particular could be had from the nearby hill) but stay out unless the farmer has given permission.

The Barge Inn is under new management; Pietro Cuomo and his partner Barbara have moved from Rome to take over ownership of the croppie pub. Initial fears that the Barge would be abandoning its crop circle heritage would seem to be unfounded; this summer it shall be home to Monique Klinkenbergh’s exhibition.
